Mister Robert Fine Furniture and Design began as a dream of Sara Jean and Bob Calonkey 65 years ago. Since opening its doors on October 1, 1958 with a single store front offering high-end designer-oriented furniture in Norman’s historic Main Street, Mister Robert has been a symbol of style and excellence, as well as a pillar of the community for decades. During its storied career, Mister Robert has remained dedicated to Sara Jean and Bob’s mission: to make Oklahoma beautiful, one room at a time.
New Leadership
After their deaths, the leadership at Mister Robert transitioned to their daughter, Keven Calonkey Carl, NCIDQ, ASID.
"As a child, I went to clients' homes with my mom and learned the design aspect of the business. I saw how Dad ran the business and learned from him the financial aspects of running a business. I am proud to carry on their legacy at Mister Robert."
She and her husband, John, now own Mister Robert and are excited about its future. "The store is now larger, brighter, and more diverse than ever. Since taking over, we have added more than 20 new lines of furniture and accessories," John said. Keven curates the store, and her vision guides the product availability at Mister Robert.
Keven is well-known and respected in the industry as a top designer and remains dedicated to providing Oklahoma with distinguished furnishings and exceptional customer service. She is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and is nationally certified through the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). She has won The Oklahoman's Reader's Choice Award for Best Interior Designer eleven years in a row. She has also won eighteen ASID Excellence in Design awards for her outstanding residential and commercial design projects.

Boasting a vast and captivating collection of home accessories, original oil paintings, vibrantly colored rugs, and more, Mister Robert continues to beautify homes and offices one room at a time.
